“Cinderella and Four Knights”

Kang Ji-woon (Jung Il-woo) and Eun Ha-won (Park So-dam) first moment together where we see Ji-woon’s caring side towards Ha-won. Suffering from indigestion, Ji-woon applies the needle poke treatment (pricking on thumb) on Ha-won. Using a thread to tie her thumb, and with a needle, Ji-woon pokes it into Ha-won’s thumb, much to her fear. Ji-woon attends to it with much care and tender that it flutters her heart. We especially like how the music would play on each time Ji-woon and Ha-won is in “their” moment.

Ji-woon explains that he used to do it for his mother when he was young, to which Ha-won wittily replied that he seems to be a smart punk since young. Ha-won said that nobody has done that for her since her mother died. Ji-woon replied at least she still has a father. Ha-won casually replied that her father will not do that for her since she is not his biological daughter. Listening to that Ji-woon expression softens.

As Ha-won tries to persuade Ji-woon to attend the funeral anniversary of his father, they spoke at length about how one does not seem to know his own father and the other suddenly finding out that the father whom she has been living with for twenty years is not her biological father. As they were talking, Ha-won gave out a burp – proving that Ji-woon’s has good skill. Her stomach started to growl, making Ji-woon laughed. Both went to their usual 7-Eleven shop for ramen.

At the shop, Ji-woon can’t help but looks on at Ha-won differently – this time with more smiles. The scene moves on to both sitting in the car after their meal and Ha-won was nodding off away asleep. Ji-woon looks on at Ha-won tenderly, putting her in a comfortable position and touching her face. He was smiling away and looked at Ha-won adorably.

We can see that Ji-woon has a certain feelings towards Ha-won which he himself is probably unaware of. But it is for certain that his initial harsh demeanor is now replace with a softer touch. From the small gestures of caressing her hand lightly, to the secret glance and how he keep smiling each time he looks at Ha-won, this certainly is a start of Ji-woon opening his heart to Ha-won.
